Carrying you around
Heavily bounded to my shoulders
Like a rock tied to a fowl
Void of any tangible importance
I vowed not to let you go
Even though you weighed me down
‘Coz of your imperfection
That pierced through my heart
I began to grow weaker and weaker
Due to the heavy load I refused to part with
That had caused so many damages
To the whole of my body system
I resolved to let go at the end
Even though you never felt the pain
Like a freeman
You have invariably lived all your days
Now I understand the power of unforgivingness
It only hurts the offended
Now I feel like a freeman too
‘Coz I finally chose to forgive
