IN-DEPENDENCE?

Am I supposed to praise thee like before?
Am I expected to continue lying?
Should I keep repeating the same prayers?
All these all over and over again?

I’ve ran my ink on papers,
Leaving traces of hope,
For the eyes that would get to behold.

I have hailed and praised,
Like a fire does to fuel,
I have beamed rays of light,
But they end up folded up in darkness.
But today,
I fail to practice the things of old.

My nation is ‘great’,
I concur!
But those who hold its power,
Are nothing but cruel liars,
Thieves and fabricators.

We keep believing,
That the nation would be ‘great’!
It is 60 years today!
60? 60! What is wrong with us?
We keep dreaming,
Of seeing it fly.

These evil perpetrators keep manipulating us,
They take an elephant from the masses,
And proudly gift them some tiny ants,
Yet, they are praised like gods,
And we are spat on like dogs.

They pretend to love the country,
Its dwellers,
But they end up fooling every kindred,
Every tribe!
All for their personal benefits.

The country today is stained,
Yet, we celebrate independence?
Independence from what?
From normal living?
Normal reasoning?

I’m determined not to sell out my ink,
In lies and deceit this day!
The country is ragged and perfumed,
So no one smells its rottenness.
The people are brainwashed,
And brain sealed!

There’s nothing worth celebrating today!
Nigeria needs revival!
But I’m sick of seeing people pretend to be concerned,
When they are all after the note.

Forget Oduduwa! Origin of the Yoruba People Finally Revealed!

Although the Yoruba People have been believed to have originated from Egypt, some school of thoughts have disproved this, shedding more light on exactly how the tribe came into being. I would love if you take your time to read to the end.

The Yoruba People have been traced to Ham, who was the son of Noah in the holy book of the Christians, the Bible. It is believed that they are the direct descendants of cush, one of the sons of Ham.

But these descendants of Cush refused to go with the others to Africa, when they chose to migrate. Instead, they had moved to Mecca and Medina, which is today known as Saudi Arabia.
For thousands of years, this people remained in the foreign land and began to multiply and prosper. It was during that time, that Prophet Muhammed established Islam, but they refused to accept the new religion as they held to their own gods. This made some Arab communities chase them out of their land.

This caused them to find another place to settle, so they moved to the banks of River Nile in Egypt, the same continent they had refused to settle. This is where the other school of thought built their belief. Well, it is was said that their other relatives moved to Africa. Could they be the Egyptians? Perherps, they had gone back to unite with their own people. They had a good relationship with the Egyptians throughout their stay.

But later on, they decided to move again, as they approached the North Eastern part of Nigeria to dwell. They were joyfully received by the people of Bornu, but again, they continued their journey into the Southern Western part of Nigeria, which was fertile. They chose to dwell and at that time, they dwelt in Ile-Ife, where they continued their paganism.

One day, Oduduwa, the known father of the Yoruba people had to send his sons out to dominate other parts, where they also established their kingdoms.

Later, Islam and Christianity came into the scene in Nigeria. These two religions, Christianity and Islam were introduced through the trade between the Yoruba People and other people from different places. In no time, Christianity and Islam took their roots, displacing the pagan gods of the Yoruba people.

Now, do we say the Yoruba people are from Israel or from Egypt? Well, we may conclude that their relatives are the Egyptians, but can we also say the Egyptians, who have been an enemy of Israel really originated from Israel, considering the root of Noah?
Well, we all are related in a way. At least, we know Adam and Eve are our very first ancestors!

Her Rebirth

… and the precious substance shall be kept away from all aorta of evil,
And the people shall celebrate her rebirth, trying to steal a glance,
And the whole world shall hear about her,
And they all shall run down to see and be a partaker of her glory, when it she is revealed,
And everyone on earth shall be on guard, so as not to miss the first view,
And on its opening, the other nations shall bow in reference and submission,
And they shall acknowledge its superiority and Lordship,
And the people of the soil shall rejoice, happy they lived to see the day,
And new colours shall be espied on the newly reformed nation,
And the colours shall be a new green, a colour of honour and pride,
And a new white, a colour of glory,
And it shall attract everything that breaths,
And the she would forever be referred to as NIGERIA, THE LORD’S CHOSEN.

HAPPY INDEPENDENCE, NIGERIANS,
HAPPY INDEPENDENCE, NIGERIA.
