The NIGERIA I Want

I felt so bad growing up as a Nigerian

The national anthem I found difficult reciting

Issues pertaining to politics I had no interest for

I was simply dead to my environment (country)

But then

In my regrets something sank deep into my mind

What is the reason for my existence?

Nothing good, they say, comes so easily

Do I also end my life without imparting my nation?

God forbids it!

My regrets I converted into an opportunity to rebuild my nation

To revive it

To reunite my people

Only then did I discover something

This dream cannot be one-man oriented

It is a contributive effort

Arise Nigerians!

Arise to your obligation

Every man’s purpose must influence his nation

Wakeup and stop dreaming

This is the time to come together as one

Being people of integrity

Burying our differences

Is our diversity no longer our heritage?

It is time we changed our negative beliefs about this country

Aiming at one thing

The progress, growth and greatness of Nigeria. God bless Nigeria!

Gratitude

Have you thought of sleeping one day and never waking up?

Has it ever occurred to you, you may never return home from where you are heading to?

Have you ever seen death face to face but mysteriously, it never got to take your life?

Have you ever been in a situation that scares you, but you walked out unhurt?

Have you ever thought of who’s been protecting you?

Do you remember to thank him?
